WELL..... its been more than 10 years in the coming but work has begun on a New and Updated website.

Super Series 4
Well, we made it! We were hoping to run in competition over the weekend, but where we have been out of touch
for so long, thing have finally overtaken us. We didn't know that Nitro was banned in everything but Top Fuel
also, the chassis, which once was over spec. by a long way, is now well under! So what did we do, we joined the
Wild Bunch. This did however throw up a new problem, the Wild Bunch are restricted to 10 second runs, and our car
is capable of low sevens. As is was this was perfect the new driver (me) had to do his three observed runs, one
burn out and lunch, one half pass, and one full pass. Never having driven the car before I didn't expect to do that much.
The Boss had always told me what it was like to drive the car, the sensations you felt as you hit the "Go Pedal", so I thought
I knew what was comming that first blast, Boy was I wrong....

Well it's time to play, and that means an outing! The date is provisionally set for 19th September at Santa Pod.
Yes I know this is a Run What Ya Brung but we got to start somewhere. We have to check with Pod that it's OK,
but assuming they say yes, We Are On Our Way!

Guest Book
It's been really nice to receive all your emails, your words have helped to push us to get the car back to it's old self.
As the mail system is at the moment, we are the only ones to see all your kind words and enquiries, so we have decided to
put this right. In the very near future we will have a Guest book for you all to sign! (that is if I can get the thing working)

Job Done!
Well thats it! The back axle is fixed, the engine is in the car and all plumbed up, all thats left to do is run it up.

Tuesday, April 13th, 1999

Short motor finished
Well It has been 15 months in the comming but the short motor is finally finished. The rods where straightened
and sent away to be balanced with the crank and pistons and when these returned, we fitted the into the newly
prepared block. We managed to salvage the heads from the old engine, they were a bit damaged but after a bit
of work they came up OK. Now to fit all the shinney bits back on.

So now what
Well we can't race in competition, but we can race in the nostalgia classes. So thats what we will do,
You can never keep a good racer down!!

Saturday, January 16th, 1999

And the work goes on...
The chassis has been stripped, checked and re-painted with no real problems. However, the rules have
changed from last season, the car is now illegal in its class at both main tracks and to put everything
right is well outside our budget.

Engine Rebuild Cont.
Today the rods came back from the welders, he did a great job, they are near enough straight.

Tuesday, June 2nd, 1998

Work Begins In Ernest.
Well today we took the car out of the trailer after about 18 months, its not as bad as we expected
The body work and engine were removed, and we started checking the chassis.

Monday, June 1st, 1998

Engine Rebuild.
Well the robs went away today, at the moment they are being welded.
Being I beam in construction, we weld steel plates in the recesses to box them in. This
gives a large increase in strength with very little increase in weight.

Next the rods will need to be straightened ( they bend when the plates are welded in place)
Once this is done, they will go away for balancing with the crank and pistons.

Monday, January 12th, 1998

It Is Decided To Rebuild The Dragster.
If you didn't know, the last time the car was out was about 1992 and burst a piston in the pits ( OOooops! )
Well since that day the car has done no more than a few static shows - Mainly charity work.
This is about to change! Although the car is now illegal at Santa Pod, its still perfectly legal
at Avon Park, and as the car is not comming out to go into serious competition, what could be better
than racing at "The Home Of The Sportsman Racer."
There's a lot to do before we come and play however:
A new engine has to be built
The chassis needs to be checked from nose to tail
The rear axle needs overhauling
The controls need to be altered for the new driver (Garry Carpenter)
